The
project was developed jointly by the Carlos III de Madrid University (Spain),
and the Technical University of Vienna.
The
indicator part was written by Andreas Windsperger and Gabriele Angst, Research
Institute of Chemistry and Environment, and coordinated closely with Susanne
Gerhold, Austrian Statistical Office
The
basic data part was co-ordinated by Rodrigo Jiliberto, teacher of the Carlos
III University; the other members of the working group were Mercedes Garcia
Luna and Noemi Padron, researchers in the Carlos III University, and Jose
Manuel Carnicer, external expert.
NOTE
FOR THE ATTENTION OF THE READER
The
industry sector was chosen as pilot case for the EPIS Project (see
introduction), which relies on the material flows approach. According to this,
the present analysis concentrates on the data needed to fit the balances for
the sector industry and reviews mainly the statistics available at Eurostat and
in Spain, which was chosen as case study.
